He’s been a homer happy Hawaiian.

Jake Hiromoto, who plays third base for the Swift Current 57’s, has been bashing baseballs out of Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) ballparks all season and, as a result, he’s been neck-and-neck for the league lead in homers midway through the campaign.

WCBL All-Star Rosters Announced

The best and brightest in the Western Canadian Baseball League are gearing up for a full weekend of fun in Saskatoon.

The WCBL has announced its player selections for the East Division and West Division rosters that will take the field at the 2026 All-Star Weekend at NexGen Patch at Cairns Field on Saturday, July 18th and Sunday, July 19th.

7th Inning Stretch: Hudson Unger

There’s an air of familiarity around the Swift Current 57s clubhouse in the early going of the 2026 Western Canadian Baseball League season.

The club will lean on some local talent like Hudson Unger to get back into the playoffs for the first time since 2023.
