WCBL Top Performers of 2025

They are the sultans of swat and peak pitchers in the Western Canadian Baseball League.

During a summer of strong performances in the WCBL, these batters and moundsmen stand out among their peers and can be found at the top of the leaderboards at the end of the 56-game regular season.

Honey for the Cubs

As Reese Brons crossed home plate to score the winning run to claim the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League title, there was an audible sigh of relief from the Saskatoon Cubs dugout.

And then … pandemonium as the celebration began.

After being knocked out in the semi-finals of the past two seasons, the Cubs were able to take the monkey off their backs in a big way with a 12-2 win over the Regina White Sox.

7th Inning Stretch: Brady Bye

Homegrown product Brady Bye will be looked upon for some veteran guidance as the Regina Red Sox get ready for the 2025 WCBL Playoffs.

Baseball Bashers Ready for Derby

The field has been set for the Western Canadian Baseball League’s 2025 Home Run Derby.

The event – part of the All-Star Game festivities taking place on Saturday, July 19th at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks – gets underway at 5 p.m. and it will feature a dozen long-ball launchers, one from each WCBL team.

WCBL All-Stars Announced

The stars are ready to shine brightly for the Western Canadian Baseball League.

The WCBL has announced its player selections for the East Division and West Division rosters that will take the field at the 2025 All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, presented by FortisAlberta. The signature event takes place on Saturday, July 19th at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks.
