The former All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) star from Ogema, Sask., could not abide seeing players lollygag a throw or casually scoop a grounder.

From Saskatchewan to the All-American League

They came from across the globe to play the game they loved.

Between 1943 and 1954, more than 600 women took to the field as members of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, including 28 players and two chaperones from Saskatchewan.
