WCBL Names 2025 Award Winners

The Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) has determined its most outstanding performers for the 2025 season.

The summer collegiate circuit that calls Alberta and Saskatchewan home has unveiled All-Star Teams, Most Valuable Players, the Rookie of the Year, the Most Outstanding Canadian, the Most Outstanding Pitcher, the Top Relief Pitcher, the Coach of the Year and the Mitch Ball Memorial Award winner.

Brady’s Bunch

When he wasn’t getting it done with his bat, catcher Brady Bye was getting it done on the field with the Regina Red Sox pitching staff.

The home-grown talent, a student at Point University, was a consistent and steadying presence on the team heading into the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) postseason.

Regina Red Sox 2024 Season Preview

The Regina Red Sox are looking to put together a bounce-back season this summer.

After claiming top spot in the East Division of the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) in 2022, the Red Sox suffered a first-round playoff loss to the Medicine Hat Mavericks. That postseason exit was followed by a 23-33 record in the 2023 regular season and another opening-round playoff loss to the Mavs.

Regina will set their sights on top spot in the division yet again in 2024, before the club looks to embark on a deep postseason run.
