Lone Star State of Mind

It’s still a little surreal for Thomas Ireland to see his “Homegrown Hero” banner up at the North Regina Little League ballpark.

Back home for the offseason after a very successful year in the Texas Rangers system, the 23-year-old was visiting his old stomping grounds with his wife, Jessica, and his parents to help with the program’s fall clean-up when he looked up at the banner again.

Dreams Coming True

In the span of a couple of minutes, the Jays Care Foundation’s “Field of Dreams” program made a major impact on two Saskatchewan communities.

Hanley Minor Ball and North Regina Little League were named as two of the 15 recipients across the country.

Being the Culture

It is shaping up to be an experience the Regina Dusters won’t soon forget.

Created in 2020 to help give kids the chance to play baseball for a while longer, the Dusters have traveled to Las Vegas and Arizona for winter tournaments in the past.

But nothing will compare to what they have planned when the board the plane for Cuba in February 2025.
