We have come to the fork in The Road to Okotoks and the Morneau Cup.

After three Regional Qualifers were held in May, 16 teams have made the trek to Alberta for the start of the inaugural 19U national championship.

Team Saskatchewan has brought together players from all programs – including Going Yard Academy, Berries Academy and Martin Academy – to suit up in The Road to Okotoks.

Hitching a Ride to Okotoks

The road has been paved and it’s almost time for the teams to start their engines.

The Road to Okotoks is set to kick off on July 14 and, ahead of the inaugural Morneau Cup, teams were able to choose up to three players from non-qualifying programs to round out their rosters.

They may have preferred to settle their differences on the field, but the final four teams remaining in the Prairie Qualifiers for The Road to Okotoks got what they came for.

What started as 13 teams vying for three spots in the inaugural event in Okotoks later this summer turned into a battle of four.
