2026 Weyburn Beavers Season Preview

It’s time for the “W” in Weyburn to stand for wins.

The Beavers have had a rough few years in the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) and postseason play hasn’t visited the Saskatchewan city of 11,000 people since 2019, which is also the last time that Weyburn had a winning season.

Gurney’s All-Star Family Adventure

Of the 2025 WCBL All-Star Game participants, perhaps none had as much support present as Austin Gurney (Campbell River, BC) of the Moose Jaw Miller Express.

As a contestant in his third WCBL Home Run Derby, Gurney had a special pitcher tossing to him – his dad, Hugh.
