A tip of the cap to Carnduff.

The host of the second annual Rural Roots Baseball Classic – the first such Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) event in Saskatchewan – pulled off a fantastic showcase of the sport that recognized the history of the game while celebrating the area’s ongoing love affair with baseball.

Carnduff Ball Park provided the venue for a WCBL opening weekend clash between the Saskatoon Berries and the Weyburn Beavers on May 29th.

Here are some of the sights from that historic matchup:

Gusts of 60 km-per-hour winds made batting practice a challenge for players who got a taste of dust before the game.
